To reduce methane emissions from the production of biogas at digesters at waste water treatment plants and at digesters for organic waste, the Swedish operator organisations for waste water (Svenskt Vatten) and waste (Avfall Sverige) have published this report: iwa-network.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/...ethane-Emissions.pdf

The operation of wastewater treatment plants results in direct emissions, from the biological processes, of greenhouse gases (GHG) such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O), as well as indirect emissions resulting from energy generation.
