Indded, I should say that the situation in Spain is very similar. Farmers usually find it cheaper to use other raw water sources. Nevertheless, when the hydric stress is extreme and agriculture plays a key role in the local economics, farmers are happy to use reclaimed water, as it happens in the South East of Spain.

According to a survey conducted among WWTP operators in the Baltic Sea Region, the best solution for reclaimed water use is an urban application: green area irrigation, and street washing. Agriculture is reluctant and usually far away. The city is in the same place, the park is around the corner.
We conduct tests on grass.

We are working on our ReNutriWater project. After a few months, we already have ideas for pilots on water recovery and reuse in Denmark, Finland, Latvia and Poland. For now, I encourage you to sign up for the newsletter. The first one is already here.

Hello.
Great to know that you are interested. This is Interreg Baltic Sea Project named RenutriWater. We will test pilots in Poland Denmark, Finland. There is a strong representation from Latvia:
Latvian University, Kurzeme and Jurmala chambers of commerce.
I will be happy to share our outcomes with you. I hope we will start in January 2023.
Besides this project, I am working on water reuse in Poland. We have the first small implementations like street cleaning or artificial snow production.
Klara

Neutral WWTP should also consider the possibility of water recovery from waste water for ithe plant's own purposes and for other recipients. We are just starting a new project in the Baltic Sea region.
